THIS IS A COOL SITE. I'M A NEW FAN OF HALL AND OATES, SINCE I SAW THEM IN CONCERT LAST MONTH FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER. THEY WERE AMAZING!!!! SINCE I'M ONLY 21 & I OWN LIKE ABOUT 12 CDS ON THEM, SINCE MY DREAM IS HOPEFULLY CAPTURE EVERY ALBUM THEY EVER MADE, INCLUDING THE NEW XMAS ALBUM THEIR MAKING. I WILL ADMIT I AM MADLY OBESSED WITH DARYL HALL CUZ HE IS THE HOTTEST MAN IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE TO ME. WHEN I LAID EYES ON HIM FOR THE FIRST TIME, IT WAS LOVE AT FIRST SITE!! HE IS SO SEXY TO ME, EVEN IF HE IS 36 YRS. OLDER THAN ME. HE STILL IS VERY GOOD LOOKING, I DO WISH I WAS BORN 40 YEARS EARLIER SO THEN I COULD'VE BEEN A FAN OF THEM FROM THE START IN 1972. WHEN THEY FIRST CAME OUT, BUT I HAD TO BE BORN 1985 WHICH SUCKS. THERE STILL MAKING MUSIC SO THAT'S A GOOD THING. I LOVE DARYL HALL LIKE CRAZY!!!! WHICH IS WHY I'M SAYING IF THERE ARE ANY FANS OUT THERE THAT HAVE STUFF ON HALL & OATES THAT THEY WANT TO GIVE AWAY LET ME KNOW. I'LL TAKE ANYTHING ON THEM, ESPECIALLY DARYL. WHEATER IT'S PICTURES, CONCERTS ON DVD, INTERVIEWS, MERCHANDISE, ANYTHING I DON'T CARE. ANYWAY I LOVE YOU DARYL HOPE YOUR DOING OKAY!!!!! YOU'LL ALWAYS BE THE KISS ON MY LIST!!!!!!

I've been a fan since the early '80s and have an enoumous crush on Daryl. I ran into him a few times in the Village back then. Have seen about 40 shows. I love their music as much, if not more, today than back when I was introduced to it. My wish is to one day to meet them both and thank them for how they have positively impacted my life. Their music has been my antidote throughout the many trials and tribulations in my life, most recently, getting through my mother's illness. I am so looking forward to seeing them in November at the Count Basie Theatre, a great pick-me-up. Thank you Daryl and John, Always, Patti Parker

Hello again. Just checking out this web sight as I usually do quite often. I wish there was a place in West Virginia where these guys could perform. I live in a little county(McDowell) and you have to travel so far just to get to the movies let alone a concert. I have loved these guys and their band for many many years. Their music means so much to me. Thanks to some people I have met through this web site, I was able to get a few DVD's sent to me.I am so appreciative. I am a native of Philadelphia just like Daryl and John. I loved it in the city. I reacently went back to visit family, and believe me It surely isn't the same as it was when I was growing up but Philly Rocks anyway. Hope Daryl,John and the band are well. Till next time. Keep Rockin' Guys. Forever a Fan Carole

I finally went to my first show on August 26. (Jones Beach) It really was the best night of my life! Lots of favorites were played, (Me and Mrs. Jones, Say It Isn't So, etc.) my friend Marc and I had fantastic seats, (Row 13!) and oh yeah, Daryl and John looked every bit as great as they do in pictures. (I think John Oates LOOKED AT ME AND SMILED while I was dancing near the stage...I think so, anyway!!!!) God, I could have died happy after it was all over. I'm pretty sure I meant it when I said this in my other posts, but if I didn't I know now that I'll be a fan forever and ever. Catch you all later!

There is this song by this wonderful new singer named Anna Nalick, the song is called "Breate(2 a.m.)" (all her songs are from her diary. Anyway, there's half of a verse in that song that reminds me of Daryl that says "My God it's so beautiful when the boy smiles"! By the way, Daryl's posted comments on the band blog at Hallandoates.com! Check it out! C-ya!

I have been a big fan of Daryl & John since the late 70's & have got all their albums apart from a couple of compilations.I don't have a favourite album as i think each album they have released has been totally different than the next. My favourite song though will surprise most H&O fans as it is Heavy Rain from A change of season album. I've seen H&O on 3 occasions at the Manchester Apollo & they actually get better with age. Best regards to all you H&O fans out there. Steve from Bolton in sunny England.

Hello, again. It's been about six months since my latent Hall and Oates 'fan-dom' awoke, and I'd just like to say that I'm having a great time looking for and buying albums and memorabilia. And okay, I'll say it: Daryl really does get better-looking every time I see him! (I'm only human!) I'm really looking forward to seeing the guys live this summer or fall; still don't know when it's going to happen. Hopefully, sooner rather than later. Keep on doin' it for love, guys! It's funny: up until one month ago, I'd never realized just how big a part of my life the music of Hall & Oates really was. I'm almost positive my mother had "Big Bam Boom!" when I was a little girl; I remembered a couple of the songs on it right away and it brought back memories of better days. (I'm 25, but I've got a LONG memory!!!) Anyway, I'm glad I found this site and that H&O have not faded away like so many bands from the 70's and '80's. Rock on, guys, rock on! P.S. Just wanted to say...Daryl's voice is the most soulful, sexy and beautiful voice I have ever heard in my 38 years of living. He looks as good as ever. He is certainly a beautiful man physically,(love him!) however his voice has always added to my belief that his soul must be beautiful, too. I never had the opportunity to meet him, but he has been a part of my life through his music. I hope one day I will be able to meet him, and thank him for all the good feelings I feel when I hear him sing.

I just saw Daryl and John in Kissimmee on Friday June 25th. They were great, and Daryl is really alive when he is on stage. This is 3rd time I've seen the guys, but I haven't seen them since 88, so it was fun to see them here and now. My husband went with me(he's not a big fan), but conceded it was a good show, and he has new found respect for Daryl's strong voice and range. I told him not bad for a 55 year old guy who smoked a bunch through out the years. We're 46! I Love Daryl!!!! I have followed him since I first heard he & John in 76. I hope to have the opportunity to see them more in the future. Talent is forever, and they have it.

I was at Daryl's solo show with band at Keswick Theater last Fri. night, he did his new CD songs, which I owned, & he is correct when it said he is very proud of the way it turned out. I rolled down the PA Turnpike the next day playing the CD at full volume, that man sure can sing!!!!! I have been a fan of H&O since 1970, they keep getting better with age. I was present at the H&O induction into the Hollywood ROCK WALK OF FAME on August 5, 2003 and I attended my very first H&O concert at the WILTERN THEATRE in Los Angeles on August 15, 2003-- THEY WERE SUPERB!! To MR. HALL-- Daryl, we wish you a HAPPY NEW YEAR (you're 57th Birthday!!!!) commencing October 11, 2003, and continued good health, self-fulfillment and happiness. Hall & Oates are my all time favorites. I have all of their CD's and listen to them in the car on the way to work and again on the way home. I'm in love with Daryl and am planning on attending the concert on August 22, 2003 in Cleveland, Ohio. The new album Do It For Love is a winner and every song is the greatest. My vote is for Hall & Oates to be put in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Come on 30 years what is the hold up. If anyone deserves it the do.

  Amy (a.k.a. "Phillymoodgirl") Thursday, 7/18/02, 1:31 PM

Greetings to all of my H&O fans out there! I have to confess that I'm only in my early 20's, yet I'm MADLY in love with Daryl and John! These guys ROCK! It's really weird how I got hooked on their music. I guess I grew up listening to a lot of their songs played on the radio. I believe the first song I can remember by them is probably "One On One"--I used to think is was called "101"--LOL! I used to go around the house singing that constantly like any four or five year old girl would then (could be that I come from a very musical family--who am I to judge?) It wasn't until after Daryl's solo album titled "Soul Alone" came out--that's when I really got hooked. One of our English assignments my junior year in High School was to write about a new neighbor that just moved in next door. I wrote one about Daryl. I was over helping him unpack and get settled in, and I came across some really weird items, such as a frog and his incense--MAN that was strong! His doorbell sounded a lot like (If you've ever watched Beavis and Butthead...) Anderson's doorbell. Then he took me joyriding in the back of his black Chevy truck, and I was surrounded by cigarette smoke, and some of his Rich Girl albums from the '70s, and Aerosmith on the radio turned up full blast. I can't remember what all I wrote...Interesting story. Sad, but true, I have never seen H&O in concert! I'd love to if they performed in Wichita (Kansas Coliseum), Kansas City (Kemper Arena), or at the Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson (home of the 2002 U.S. Women's Open). It's kind of ironic that I'm known as the "Phillymoodgirl" when I live in Kansas. It could be the fact that every time I listen to "I'm In A Philly Mood", the first thing that comes to my mind is those mouth-watering Philly steak sandwiches that I order at some fancy restaurant or so. (I shouldn't be talking about food here--I'm trying to lose weight this summer.) I look forward to meeting more DIE-HARD H&O fans in the near future. Please tell me where you're from and some other interesting facts or hobbies about yourself! I'm hoping to meet more around Kansas or around that neck of the woods! The weather in Kansas has been soooo HOT! (Yeah, I know, "HOW HOT IS IT???) It's been so hot here, that it hasn't rained in over a month!!!!! We could sure use some rain and cooler temperatures! I just saw H&O at Humphrey's in San Diego a couple of weeks ago and they were as terrific as ever. This time was even better because I had the chance to meet John. I got to talk to him for several minutes and he was so down to earth and friendly-- and he was gracious enough to pose for a picture with me and to autograph one of the CDs. I can't thank them enough for all of the years of pleasure they've brought me through their music. I'm going again when they come back to Anaheim in the fall and with some small amount of luck, perhaps I'll get to meet Daryl too. thanks, Kathy

hey, y'all ... quick d and j story. i sneaked into a private show a few months ago in minneapolis at the convention center. it was a party for northwest airlines executives. crowd was lethargic as the boys took the stage and opened with "romeo is bleeding." so wifey and me stormed the stage and were inches from daryl hall. long story longer, three songs into it they were preparing for their next song and i said to daryl, "this is an airline's party u have to play las vegas turnaround." he said, "u r right, this is an airlines party and we can do that." they called an audible and played the harmony-filled song from abandoned lunchonette. i found it so cool that they changed their song list for a devoted fan who has seen this band in los angeles, las vegas, san francisco, minneapolis, washington d.c. and atlantic city. pa

SO NICE OF YOU TO KEEP IN TOUCH, ROBIN. I CAUGHT THE SHOW ON NEW YEAR'S EVE. DID YOU? I HAVE PHOTOS BUT THEY ARE NOT DEVELOPED YET. I HAVE A PHOTO OF ME AND D IN ATLANTIC CITY, SUMMER OF '99. I'VE HESITATED TO SEND IT BECAUSE I WAS FATTER THEN. I FINALLY FOUND THE PLACE WHERE D GOES AFTER EVERY AC SHOW. HOWEVER, IT BEING NEW YEAR'S EVE, HE WISELY WASN'T THERE. THE NEXT BATCH OF SHOWS TAKE PLACE IN MARCH, 16,17 & 18. MY BIRTHDAY IS THE 9TH, SO THAT WILL BE GREAT. I THINK I'LL GO ON THE 18TH SO I WON'T HAVE TO RUSH FROM WORK ON FRIDAY AND HAVE THE BEST CHANCE TO CATCH D AT THE RESTAURANT. I KNOW THIS IS D'S SITE, BUT IT SADDENS ME THAT J IS SO REMOVED FROM THE FANS NOW. I'VE NEVER HAD A CHANCE TO CONVERSE WITH HIM. LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE COMING NEXT MONTH-I WOULD LOVE TO MEET YOU AND SOME OF THE OTHERS OF OUR TRIBE. OH, I NEARLY FORGOT-I BOUGHT THAT PHILLY COLLECTION THAT FEATURES THE TEMPTONES AND I'M WAITING FOR THE TEMPTONES ALBUM. IT WILL BE SUCH A KICK TO HEAR HIS YOUNG VOICE DOING THOSE TEMPTATIONS SONGS. ANY WORD ON WHEN THE NEW ALBUM IS COMING? IT'S BEEN FINISHED FOR A WHILE. PEACE AND GOOD LUCK IN 2001, DIONNE.

I've been a fan of Daryl Hall since around 1983, when Rock And Soul Part I and the songs 'Say It Isn't So' and 'Adult Education' marked a turning point in my life. Since then, H&O's music has been the soundtrack of my life. I was fortunate enough to meet Daryl and John after a show in Tacoma, WA. in November of 1997 (thank you, Melanie, wherever you are, for the backstage passes!) It was a wonderful and surreal experience that I will never forget. Robin, this is a great website! Absolute Coolness! :) SteveB

Mary Lou Smith Thursday, 6/15/00, 10:18 PM

Daryl's latest solo project "Can't Stop Dreaming" has been my favorite album since I bought it over a year ago. Everything on it is wonderful-- but "What's in Your World" is the absolute best. It's an emotional experience every time I hear it. With this one, he reaches right inside your heart. I've been a music lover for over 60 years and never have I experienced such heart-wrenching emotion from just listening to a song. There are a few pieces of classical music that evoke a somewhat similar sensation, but these are instrumental works; and though I'm fond of many operatic arias, they have not affected me as "What's in Your World" has. I have a very eclectic taste in music, and count Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and Ella Fitzgerald among my favorite singers -- Daryl Hall is one of the few vocalists of the rock era that belong in their company. Sincerely, Mary Lou Smith [P.S. The version that's still available is an import -- the best price is at http://www.massmerchandise.com (enter Daryl Hall in normal order if searching by artist), or http://www.buy.com (try it without the apostrophe if searching by title).]

I am a big fan of both Daryl & John. They are the dynamic duo. I like all of their songs, but the first single (45rpm, remember those?) was RICH GIRL, so that is probably my favorite. My favorite albums (CD's)by them are Voice,H20,Big Bam Boom, OOH Yeah, Change of Season and of course, Marigold Sky. My favorite Daryl CD's are Can't Stop Dreaming, Soul Alone, Three Heart's and the Happy Ending Machine. I seen them in concert for the first time June 20,1999 at the Desert Inn in Las Vegas and the second time on October 2, 1999 in Kansas City. Wishing they come to the Omaha area soon. Can't wait for their new CD to be released. Great web site. Keep it up!

I would like to make a correction! The last I left a message on this site, I said that I was afraid to use my father's website. What I meant to say, was that I was afraid to use my father's e-mail address in the guestbook. I would like to discuss more about my fear of my father, but I'll go ahead and tell you about my musical experience with Hall & Oates. I'm eighteen years old and probably one of the few Hall & Oates fans of this age group. I've always enjoyed growing up in the 80s. And a major part of that is the music. I've been listening to Hall & Oates ever since I was about five or six years old. I remember listening to Maneater on the radio and occasionally seeing them perform on television. It was only recently that I've become a real Hall & Oates fan. When I was fourteen, I saw Hall & Oates perform on VH1's Hard Rock Live. When I saw them I said, "Hey that's Hall & Oates. I remember listening to them back in the 80s." The only Hall & Oates songs I really knew were Maneater, Rich Girl, and She's Gone. After seeing Daryl and John's performance on Hard Rock Live, I found out as much as I could about them and their music. I currently own Rock'n Soul Part 1 and Marigold Sky. And I can proudly say now, that I'm a true Hall & Oates fan.

I am an eighteen year old Hall & Oates fan, that's just visiting. I'm a stand-up comedian and my professional bio can be found at http://www.comedyforya.com. I've just recently received a computer and I just wanted to check out all the Hall & Oates websites. I got to your website by going to the links on Hall & Oates official RSI website. I don't have my own website or URL and I'm afraid to use my father's website. I enjoy your website and plan on coming back soon.

I have been a Daryl Hall fan(atic)since I was 15 years old back in 1984. As a teen, I was absolutely obsessed with the man. As I got older, of course, the teen crush wore off. However a few months ago I bought Rock 'n Soul Part I on CD so I could listen to it in my car. I became addicted to Hall & Oates' music once again and listening to it brought back all those old memories. I used to scrounge the magazine racks for articles on Daryl, I bought all the albums (yes albums!) so I could have the photos and liner notes. My room was covered with pictures! I still believe that he is an incredibly talented performer, and extremely attractive as well (even now that he is 50+, he hardly looks any different than he did 15 years ago. Anyway it's good to see that others have the same admiration for Daryl that I've always had. Keep up the good work!

Yes, Daryl Hall is absolutely the greatest. John Oates is fine too, they make good partners. I have always loved Daryl's music and the person even more...he must be the most handsome looking man that's walked on this earth. I remember the first time I heard the music "Kiss On My List" -- it made my heart do somersaults. Even though I didn't know who Hall and Oates were then (having heard it the first time), I absolutely knew that's THE ULTIMATE music!! It's magic - I can hear it over and over a million times and never get sick. Somehow, the music grows on you. I've only attended one concert in my lifetime (I'm from Singapore) but hope to travel one day just to attend a Hall & Oates concert one more time. Simply amazing !

Daryl is my favorite vocalist of all time. I've seen him in concert 6 times, and actually had breakfast with him in Seattle 6 years ago. Flew down to California just to catch him at Konakti (sp?) resort for small venue quality. He continues to amaze me. If I ever get married again I'd like him to sing at my wedding! (yaeh, right, dreaming), but nice wish anyway.

DARYL'S MOST RECENT SOLO CD "CAN'T STOP DREAMING" IS AVAILABLE at http://commerce.bestbuy.com at the best price I've seen -- $27.99 U.S. (which is good for an import). I (and many others) think it's the best work he's done and worth every penny. Note that Best Buy incorrectly lists the artist as Hall & Oates. I think you can link directly to their order page for "Can't Stop Dreaming": http://commerce.bestbuy.com/nc_ProductInfo.asp?ST=105 1273&SV=1051273&CT=21940 The Thoughtscape site also has it: http://www.thoughtscape.com/ghi.htm -- their price for CSD is also good -- under $30.00. They also have a nice selection of Hall & Oates CD's including imports. Best Wishes, Kelly
