I'm Robin, webmistress of this page since 1997, and yes it's the world's FIRST website dedicated to Daryl Hall, as you can guess, my most favorite vocalist in the universe. Believe it or not, I became an admirer when I was about 6, when I heard him sing 'bitch' in the song 'Rich Girl'. Besides the fact, it's a perfectly amazing and timeless song, I thought it was cool that you could swear on the radio. From that day on, the appeal of his voice never wore off. Luckily for me my dad became a fan too, so I was able to attend many shows well before I could drive myself to them! Now, I attend the shows with my own family, and that's just outrageously awesome too.

This is me with Daryl and John at the Pepsi Arena in Albany, NY-2004. I've met them before backstage, but I'm always some kind of mutant idiot. For a former broadcaster and speech/debate coach, I sure can't do much but bumble and mumble when the tall guys gets close. My husband laughs. My husband laughed really hard at me after taking this picture because I was in such a fog. Of all the celebs I've met and interview, I can't even get an autograph from my lifelong superhero without losing oxygen to the brain.
Knowing no words would come out of my mouth, I came prepared with this website address written on a piece of paper, but I totally dropped it on the floor between his legs when I got up to him. I'm not really sure if I ever actually got it up and into his hands because by that point I was so light headed. Yes, so sad. What a dork. (Me, not Daryl LOL). He did autograph my jeans, which my father wasn't too happy about. Kind of funny since I was 34 years old at the time.
I do have to say that both Daryl and John are really nice guys backstage. I love that they are serious about what they do and not all about what color M&Ms are on their food service tables.

This show was awesome. Michael McDonald was there too and we spoke to him backstage. Another great guy. We had the best time!
